A society is silent when the best of its conscience is sacrificed for the triumph of political gain. Walk the blood-soaked streets of Modi's India today, and you hear not the boisterous sound of a democratic civilization, but hollow, mechanical death rattles as breathing, praying, bleeding, and being unwanted all become acts of defiance.

Examine the hideous, nightmarish reality that is presented on the map—the reality that is so harsh, so completely lacking in human sympathy that even Hell will blush.

An ambulance transporting a seriously wounded human being struggling for the last thread of life was brutally caught in West Bengal. What is the condition of a soul that will leave you when you die? Supremacy slogans were chanted. Let this sink into the deepest recesses of your mind: a heart that is dying to beat to the tune of fanaticism, a life that is being held hostage by mobs whose veins are filled with Hindutva fangs. Do they have any humanity? In the absence of the elementary power of a mob to grieve, or to save, or simply to take a dying person to a hospital, the nation becomes an open-air abattoir.

Cross the geography of state sponsored terror and the orchestration of bigotry becomes even more systemic. In West Bengal, meanwhile, as mosque committees look questions in the police officer's face, the police officers' eyes seem to be smiling at them, while they issue arbitrary, unwritten verbal orders to remove loudspeakers—a subtle and a calculated way of strangling faith under the encouraging eye of a regime that thrives in cowing minorities to submission. Some leaders like Naqvi Siddique of ISF are calling for explanations from a spineless and cowardly government bureaucracy, while the state police are in a stonewalled, cowardly complicity.

Now cross over to Hyderabad, Telangana, where the cold-blooded killing of a 28-year-old cloth merchant Fasih Ahmed in Saidabad has left the entire community weeping for justice as well as the death of a young man in its midst. A young life extinguished in a frenzy of rising violence, and a grieving family left to call out "somebody, somehow, something," but whose voices are silenced by the roar of the majority.

Then turn your gaze to Uttarakhand where the state's bureaucratic bulldog encountered history's heart of darkness. In one mosque, built as a place of peace, prayer and spiritual solace nearly 200 years ago, and weathered by the passage of time and changing eras, now stood nothing but rubble under the tenuous, fraudulent guise of unapproved municipal land occupation. Two hundred years of history, heritage, and human devotion were swept away in hours - even the dead stones of Islamic heritage are not safe from the wrecking ball of sectarian annihilation under Modi's regime.

This is not random or coincidental; this is the planned and orchestrated working out of a more encompassing political agenda. The Modi government has stepped up and consistently enabled, nurtured and armed Hindu extremism, making state arms weapons of targeted persecution for over a decade. Anti-Muslim rhetoric has been seeping into the national bloodstream from the very top of parliamentary power to the blood-slicked asphalt of local streets, like a slow-acting poison. But when the Prime Minister himself dog-whistles from the podium, the foot soldiers on the ground turn those hate-filled speeches into blocked ambulances, broken-up mosques, and murdered merchants.

The world is watching, but the architects of this modern fascism sit in air-conditioned lobbies and draft laws for the purpose of disenfranchising millions, while their stormtroopers of an ideology terrorize the streets. History proves one undeniable and blazing truth; regimes founded on the bones of the innocent, the blood of the dying and the tears of mothers never endure.

The voices of justice are heard on the streets of Saidabad, Mussoorie's ruins and the clogged streets of West Bengal - they are not just screams of distress; they are the gathering storm. The people of the world need to awaken. Screaming back, humanity must. Here is a desperate, roaring call for justice – halt the bloodshed, end the Hindutva terror machine and witness the coming retribution against a regime that sold its soul for power!
